I’m Gabriel Peña, an architectural designer based in New York City. I’m a recent graduate of the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture with a Master of Architecture degree. My interest in the field began early, shaped by a fascination with how things are designed and built. Alongside my academic work, I run a freelance millwork practice, designing and fabricating custom furniture and cabinetry for clients across NYC. My work sits at the intersection of craft and architecture, with a focus on materiality and detail. I’m particularly interested in sustainable design and biogenic material research, and how these approaches can inform more responsible and innovative built environments.
